This year, Pat De Sibio marks his 45th year in development. He began his career in 1973, when he joined the staff of the United Jewish Appeal and Federation of Jewish Philanthropies where during his 9-year tenure he managed well over 100 major fund-raising events in such varied fields as finance, insurance, accountancy, law and fashion.
In 1982 he became Campaign Director of Boys Clubs of America raising over $16 million a year for their various divisions – supervising a staff of 15. In 1989 he joined Outward Bound USA as Vice President of Development, raising multi-millions each year for scholarship, endowment and general operating costs.
He joined Projects Plus Inc. as a Co-Director with Penny Stoil and Fran Liner in 1995 sharing in the management of 37 major fundraising events each year, providing executive direction for a large variety of events including tribute dinners, gala entertainments, movie premieres and charity balls, involving leaders of business, government, society, the arts, philanthropy, sports and labor. PPI’s events generate approximately $30 - $35 million dollars annually.
Pat has served on the board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and he is also an adjunct faculty member of New York University’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies. He is a Co-Chair of the Arrangements Committee for Fundraising Day in New York, and a member of FRD’s Executive Committee. With the full participation of the PPI staff, he has helped to manage each Fundraising Day for the past sixteen years.
